About This Special Issue
Biomaterial is used to make devices to replace a part or a function of the body in a safe, reliable, economic, and physiologically acceptable manner. A variety of devices and materials are used in the treatment of disease or injury. A biomaterial is any substance that has been engineered to interact with biological systems for a medical purpose.
This issue covered the classification, properties fracture, and failure, surface modification of biomaterial, as well as its usage in the nanotechnology and advanced manufacturing processes of devices for medical applications.
